About
This program seeks to bring together the very broad range of epigraphic expertise of the members of ANHIMA and its many associates in the field of Roman epigraphy.
Epigraphists specializing in a variety of areas (imperial and civic administration, onomastic, prosopography, the Roman army, social history, etc.) will collaborate on several long-term, sometimes empire-wide projects (from the Republic to Late Antiquity). Adopting a decisively multidisciplinary perspective and crossing geographic and chronological boundaries, the Epigraphica Romana program aspires to provide the scholarly community with tools it still lacks. This will be accomplished with the permanent human resources of ANHIMA, beginning with those of the Epigraphic Center in Villejuif, which has a very extensive specialized library, the catalogue of which will soon be accessible by SUDOC.
Besides projects on specific topics, one of the priorities of this program is the online launch of several digital resources that will complement existing databases; these will provide the documentary basis for multimedia publications. These will serve as bibliographical tools (see below), annual reference tools for international epigraphic publications, revisions of the local corpus, and more.

→ Digital Resources for Journals Relevant to Roman Epigraphy
This inventory covers active journals that have previously published or studied Greek and Latin inscriptions bearing on Roman history or are likely to publish and study such inscriptions again.
The inventory distinguishes between institutional sites (the webpages of universities, research institutes, and publishers), links to tables of contents or indices (noting the available years), and archives in the proper sense of the word. For the latter, the years available are indicated for different platforms; if recent issues up to the latest one are available, the first available year is simply followed by a dash (thus 1999- indicates that all years since 1999 are available).
For now, archives that only contain old issues are not indicated (e.g., Gallica, Archive.org, Europeana, etc.). In the case of archives that include recent issues, those with free access (Persée, Revues.org, Dialnet, Interclassica, etc.) are distinguished from subscription-based archives (PAO, JSTOR, Cairn, etc.); in the latter case, only links to sites that allow individuals to purchase an article have been provided. For other subscription-based platforms, no link is provided. Most give access to tables of contents, which are not indicated here
